Yes. This truth cannot be erased but in 2004 European leaders didn’t want to even mention Christianity simply as their historical background in the preamble of the envisioned European Constitution. I believe that was when the European cup of abominations started spilling over and I believe God is allowing Europe’s leaders to destroy our civilization with their own hands helping the worst of the rest of the world to destroy the west.

This same thought also led to founding and growth of many religious orders such as the Franciscans and Jesuits who are known worldwide for their love for the poor and the marginalized . The best example in our times is that of Mother Theresa of Calcutta who is known as the Saint of Gutters.
You can still see the differences by comparing West thought and institutions to eastern institutions. Unfortunately, we can also see the West retreating from these ideals through abortion and euthanasia.

Can a society keep the fruits of a belief system after it abandons the roots?
We’re still trying to live inside the architecture Christianity built — hospitals without the theology of mercy, universities without the pursuit of transcendental truth, rights without the belief that every soul is sacred. We want the inheritance without the discipline that created it.
Maybe that’s the challenge of our age:
not to reclaim the past blindly,
but to remember that every institution we take for granted was once just a person deciding, “This life matters. I’m responsible for it.”
What happens to the West when fewer people believe that enough to act on it?

I FULLY, 100 PERCENT AGREE with the written article. I am merely stating that Christianity has become so gutless and yellow today that its goodness and achievements are now buried beneath an unimaginable magnitude of evil. All because they use the Bible to excuse said evil.
The Bible says to follow the law of the land. REGARDLESS of the wicked men in power, the LAW OF THE LAND is the US Constitution, and the Constitution gives US, THE PEOPLE, the RIGHT TO ABOLISH AND INSTITUTE NEW GOVERNMENT WHEN THEY NO LONGER SERVE US.
An answer, I’d suggest, is continuing what you just described. I’d word it this way …
“…valiant for the truth upon the earth….” (Jeremiah 9:3)
“…bold in our God to speak the gospel of God even with much contention” (1 Thessalonians 2:2; Philippians 1:14)
“Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth)” (Ephesians 5:8-9).
This pattern changes nations, person by person. So if “the West” fully rejects God and consequently returns to the cruelty of survival of the fittest, Christians will once again bring light elsewhere (unless He returns first).
