WoW! Really? Christianity did not create the Western Civilization. Western Civilization was created been Ancient Egypt, Greeks and the Roman Republic. The Greeks and the Roman Republic are the main staples of our civilization today.

Christianity indeed created the Western civilization. Monasteries kept the old Roman and Greek wisdom, while it faded from the collective consciousness. Renaissance artists then created a fantasy of classic culture, that never existed. But our roots are Judeo-Christian, not pagan.

You are so right to emphasise the need to view history as a stream , a flow , a line of events , trends and patterns . Sir Arthur Bryant , long despised by modern propagandists, was such a British historian . He writes very well about the flow of British history and , whilst not overlooking the disasters and wrongs done , leaves one with something to be proud of , something one wants to protect . Still , too much more of the Fabian Society and the Muslim Brotherhood and there will not be anything left to protect .
Not just in Europe. We see the deliberate removal of our history here in the US. It serves well the combined goals of the red/green alliance.
